This 5-string bolt-on features many beautiful, carefully selected woods. The top is Quilted Maple over Walnut with a center core of Birdseye Maple over a Maple-Wenge lamination designed to match the neck. The neck itself is a 5-piece laminate of hard maple with Wenge stringers for added stability and visual contrast. The fingerboard is high-figure Birdseye Maple fitted with 24 stainless-steel Jescar pocketed frets and detailed with Wenge edge dots. The Simonetti bridge system and pickup covers are crafted from Wenge to maintain consistency in tonewood and appearance. The dual-coil Simonetti passive pickups employ a new .25” pole design for a more focused attack and clear articulation. Passive electronics use CTS pots for volume, pickup blend, and tone, and a Switchcraft jack for reliable connectivity. The control and truss rod cover are magnetic and tool-free for easy access. Tuners are Gotoh GB-707 and the Schaller strap locks keep the bass secure onstage. The finish is Matte Clean Armor, a UV-cured, high-solids, low-VOC finish that looks and feels like oil while providing far superior protection.
